Congratulations to the following students for their recent
achievements!

October 2007:
Jessica Friedman was accepted for study by the
Dance Theatre of Harlem's Residency Program at the Kennedy
Center in Washington, D.C.
In January, she performed in the
DTH culminating event in the Concert Hall of the Kennedy
Center.
Academy Events:
December 2007: Congratulations to the entire cast of our first
production of "The Nutcracker"! We are proud of each and
every dancer for a job well done!
January 2008: The Kirov Academy of Ballet accepted Sarah
Roberts (on scholarship)
and Jessica Friedman to its 2008
Summer Program.


February 2008: American Ballet Theatre has invited Jessica
Friedman
to attend its 2008 Summer Intensive

March 2008: Congratulations to
Sarah Roberts for placing in the
Top Twelve in the PreCompetitive Division at the Youth America
Grand Prix semi finals in Philadelphia!
Congratulations also to Kelsey McIntyre and Megan McIntyre
for successfully competing in the semifinals of
Youth America
Grand Prix in Philadelphia.
All three were invited to attend the YAGP workshop intensive
in NYC!

April 2008: Congratulations to ARB's class of 2008!
Kate Ludin (Wakefield School) has been accepted to James
Madison University's Honors Program
Kirsten O'Malley (Robinson HS) will attend George Mason
University and major in Business
April Myhre (Stonewall Jackson HS) will attend NVCC and
continue to study at ARB

July 2008
: Sarah Roberts has been invited to study at the Kirov
Academy of Ballet
 for the 2008-09 academic year on scholarship

"The Professional Track" is now prepared. Interested Ballet V, IV,
and III students should contact the Directors for more information.
Conferences will begin in September and continue through fall.
